What is Tare weight and Laden weight?

The weights marked on the containers are TARE weight and LADEN weight.

TARE weight is the weight of the empty container and is usually 2200KGS for a TEU

LADEN weight may be anything from 20000KGS to 32000KGS (strengthened steel construction).
