Markings on a lifeboat

A lifeboat is marked with the following :

1. Name Of the ship and port of registry on both sides of the bow.

2. Name of the ship and number of the lifeboat on top of the lifeboat canopy so as to be visible from above.

3. Length, Breadth and depth of the boat.

4. Number of persons the boat is certified to carry.
