Routeing charts areas

The admiralty publishes these charts for the before given areas. For each area, charts are published for each month. Hence a total of 144 routeing charts exist. The areas are as below:
- North Atlantic ocean – 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- South Atlantic ocean- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- Indian ocean- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- North Pacific ocean- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- South Pacific ocean- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- Malacca Strait to Marshall Islands- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- Carribean sea- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- Mediterranean sea & Black sea- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- Arabian sea & Red sea- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- Bay of Bengal- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- South China sea- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
- East China sea- 12 charts ( 1 for each month)
How are Routeing charts updated
Most generally, Routeing charts are updated via a new version of the chart every few years by the admiralty chart services. So new editions have to be ordered. Rarely, a small update comes with the admiralty notice to mariner and has to be done manually.
